Yummy for the Lips and Yummy for the Eyes
Today is not Thursday but I'm going to talk about food anyway. I'm going to tell you about my new favorite chips. Terra Exotic Vegetable Chips.
They are awesome! Probably not that great for the diet, but they have all natural ingredients and are mostly organic. Clicky on the pic to find out all about the company who makes them and their products.
Mmmm Mmmm, yummy for the tummy! Who knew that Taro, Yuca, Sweet Potato, Ruby root Veggies, Batata, and Parsnips could taste so good? Who knew that some of them existed?
So...anyway, that's the food for today. Try them, they may cost a little more but are definitely worth it. Look for them in your local grocery store. At my store they are in the organic section.
I watched Brokeback Mountain for the first time last night. It was awesome! Brad bought it for me because he knows I like Heath Ledger. Isn't that so sweet of him. How many husbands would buy their wife a movie because she thinks the lead actor is a "hottie"? The story was so good. Probably one of the saddest, most moving love stories I have seen. It ranks right up there with The Notebook. I was a mess by the end of the movie. I totally understand why a lot of people who have a homophobia wouldn't be able to watch the movie and why it sparked so much controversy. It's really too bad some people can't see past that, because the story itself is so strong. I'm not going to go into it here in case you haven't seen it, and want to. I have a hard time with the fact that Heath Ledger didn't win Best Actor for his portrayel of Ennis. What a difficult role to play. He did such a good job of making that character real and believable. Of course like I said, I think he's a hottie and I'm probably biased. He was looking hot in this one, but I have to say, I'm more partial to him in "A Knight's Tale". I don't know what do you think?
Brokeback......................................................or....................A Knight's Tale?
Notice I found a better pic of him in the second movie. Hee hee!

Sheesh I've Gotten Offtrack!
Well, It's been too long since I wrote here. There has just been so much going on this month, it's been hard to find the free time to sit at the computer. I have much catching up to do with friends and here as well. I have some really nice pictures to put up as well. Let's see, what has been going on?
Spring is finally "full on" here. The sun has been out and the temperatures are staying in the mid to upper 70's. I love it! The girls and I are getting out and getting our fresh air with nice long walks. They love riding in the stroller and greeting everyone we pass. Kenzie talks to the trees, the flowers, the animals, as well as the people. Hee hee! I wish I could go back in time and see the world with the newness and amazement that she feels. Just that feeling of "WOW" that she expresses all the time, the magicalness of it all. Is that even a word? Ha!
Brad and I have been working in the yard. We have a real garden space this year. I planted some early spring plants....we are trying strawberries, cabbage, and broccoli. So far, so good. Nothing has died yet! Brad has the grass growing great and it looks like we are going to have many nice afternoons and evenings sitting by the pond.
Lyanna was baptized this past Sunday. It was a wonderful ceremony. She was so happy during the whole thing. Even when Pastor poured the water over her head she never cried, and when he annointed her with the oil her face just lit up with the biggest smile. It was one of those moments when you "know" God is there with you. As soon as it was all over, she passed right out and slept through pictures and the drive to lunch. Too much excitement for her I suppose.
Included with this entry is a picture of a group from my "Mom's Club". We went out to eat at FUSION, Japanese Cuisine. It's a hibachi type restaurant and sushi bar. I LOVE sushi!!! So I was really happy that was our outing for the month. We had a great time, just the women with no kids and no husbands! We all need a night out like that once a month!
I can't think of anything else to update right now. I do want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my nephew and my two brothers. My nephew is 8 and oh so cute.
My brothers have hit the big 30!!!
Welcome to the thirty's bros! It's not that bad, in fact I would have to say it's been my best decade so far. Love you guys!

Happy Easter!
What a beautiful day it has been! We were awakened by our two lovely alarm clocks today around 6:30 a.m. That was a little too early so somehow we managed to keep them happy and in bed for another hour or so....then it was up to see what the Bunny brought!
Kenzie was sooooooo cute! She kept saying "wow!" and catching her breath. She didn't know what to look at first. The candy or the table and chairs my parents sent. We got good video of it, now if we can just keep from erasing it....hee hee!
Somehow we managed to get everyone ready and to church on time. It was a very nice service. Easter service is such a celebration. I love seeing all the beautiful flowers in the sanctuary and everyone is happy. Such an uplifting time after the dark days of Lent.
We took the girls back to church later in the afternoon and took some pictures of them outside with the flowers, then it was over to the grandparents for dinner. Dinner was awesome! Ate til we were full and played with the girls. Not too much else. Just a typical Sunday for us. Oh, I guess I need to add a poem today... think I'll put up one by someone else for a change.
e. e. cummings - i thank You God for most this amazing
i thank You God for most this amazing
day:for the leaping greenly spirits of trees
and a blue true dream of sky;and for everything
wich is natural which is infinite which is yes
(i who have died am alive again today,
and this is the sun's birthday;this is the birth
day of life and love and wings:and of the gay
great happening illimitably earth)
how should tasting touching hearing seeing
breathing any-lifted from the no
of all nothing-human merely being
doubt unimaginable You?
(now the ears of my ears awake and
now the eyes of my eyes are opened)

Time to Catch Up!
I hope none of you were worried when everything disappeared for a bit. Sometimes life has a way of throwing you a kink now and then. We just had one of those times. Everything is good, everyone is fine, and life is groovy once again. No worries!
Lyanna Cole is crawling!!! She is quite the little adventurer. She is crawling all over the house and will go from the living room into the kitchen in seconds. I don't think she will be crawling very long though. She is already trying to pull up on the table and stand on her legs. I think she wants to keep up with Kenzie.
Tomorrow is Easter!! We will get up early with the girls so they can play with their basket goodies and then we will go to church. We are going to have dinner with the family later in the day. It will be so nice. A good time to celebrate the sacrifice of our saviour Jesus. I hope all of you spend the day celebrating in your own special ways...whether it is the rebirth of the earth/spring or Jesus' resurrection, it is a special day.
I am going to just put up some pictures of the family now and quit talking....it will be more interesting when I get back to day to day...oh, and here is a link just for funzies.

3rd Wedding Anniversary
When the girls woke up from naptime we took them over to the grands. :) Had some time at home without them...and we got dressed up and went out to eat.
Tried a new place tonight: The Colonnade Grill. It is one of the "swank" restaurants in Parkersburg.... The food was excellent. I was pretty impressed, but the prices are kind of steep. We had fun listening to the other people around us talking..not like they were being quiet or anything. Loud, obnoxious, people with too much money....talking about their foo foo dogs. It was pretty funny..
Brad got me a gorgeous boquet of red roses, and my parents sent us a beautiful flower arrangement too. The entranceway of the house smells soooooooo good right now. I love the smell of fresh flowers. The girls got me a butterfly wind ornament and a stained glass window to go in our bath. A very nice anniversary!
I'm too tired to get into anything too deep tonight....just wanted to say Happy Anniversary to my baby! I love you!
Oh and check out our anniversary page:
